20th April 2005
Dear Friend,
The sad fact is that under Mr Blair, the British public has become so cynical they think nothing can be done about crime, immigration, tax and health.
They are angry about being lied to by Mr Blair for so long but aren’t yet convinced anyone can make the difference.
If you are angry, you must do something about it. You must send Mr Blair a message.
• If you want cleaner hospitals – you must send that message
• If you want a tougher approach to crime – you must send that message
• If you want discipline in your schools – you must send that message
• If you want controlled immigration – you must send that message
• If you want to pay less tax – you must send that message
In fact, you must send that message on the 5th May, because you won’t get the chance to do so for another five years.
Mr Blair wants to spend the remaining few days before polling day debating anything but the issues that matter. That’s the point of his campaign. He thinks that by blurring the issues he can get away with 5 more years in power.
Five years ago, I started to despair at the declining health service with poor management and enormous wastage despite very high levels of extra funding. I wrote to Mr Blair about it, and even offered my suggestions based on what patients require and how my professional colleagues and I can best serve our patients.
I did not have a reply from Mr Blair.
I applied to join the Conservatives, because I felt passionately about improving everything that has deteriorated in our country under Mr Blair.
So, please vote for me and for the Conservative Party on 5th May. Another 5 years under Mr Blair is a bleak prospect indeed.
It’s time for change!
Yours faithfully,
Dr
Teck Khong
